how to apply
We recommend that you read this website thoroughly and consider whether the program is a good fit for your skills and career plans. Pay special attention to the section describing the program and the frequently asked questions.
When you are ready to apply, prepare your application form and the required materials. The files must be saved in PDF format (only PDFs can be uploaded), and the size is limited to 2 MB per document.

Obtain and prepare the following items before filling out the form:
  1. Three letters of recommendation
At least one letter must be from an academic supervisor. If your advisors prefer to send the letters directly to us, please apply first, and then provide them with the confirmation number you receive when you submit the application.
The letter should be e-mailed to admission@kmifellows.org with your name and confirmation number in the subject line. Remember to allow extra time if you are using this process so the materials arrive by the May 1 deadline.

  2. Short letter of intent in English
Tell us why you are applying, what unique added value you bring to the table, what you expect to learn and achieve during your fellowship, and what you plan to do afterward. The letter should be no longer than 500 words.

  3. Short resume in English
A one-page resume is preferred, and two pages is the maximum. We recommend these guidelines for preparing your resume.

  4. Writing samples
Your writing sample is limited to 20 pages. You can submit excerpts from previous papers you have written to demonstrate different styles of writing or skills in Hebrew and English. You must provide at least three pages in Hebrew and at least one example from a paper you wrote alone (not a group paper).
