A 2012-13 fellow, Yakir interns in the Ministry of Social Affairs and Services.

Prior to joining the fellows program, Yakir worked as an economist and economic team leader at Halevi Dweck Ltd., a consulting firm that specializes in accompanying governmental agencies in the fields of tenders and project management.

During his undergraduate studies, Yakir volunteered for the Perach Tutorial Project and taught Hebrew to adult immigrants from Ethiopia in a community ulpan.

In the military, Yakir served as a noncommissioned officer in an armored combat brigade.

Yakir received a B.A in philosophy, economics and political science, and completed the Amirim honors program, both from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he is now pursuing an M.A in public policy.
